Last december I created many "Dreambirds"- my original characters, out of sculptey clay- the sculptures can be seen here: [link]

I sold almost every single one at the college holiday sale, and wanted to eventually do an illustration of the sculptures- make them come to life again, on paper!
Maybe eventually write a story to go with them- They reside in Birdland along with my other characters "Bluebirdie the Dreamwriter" .

Process and mediums: Mixed media:
line drawing with brown walnut ink, then prismacolor markers- then another light wash of brown, and leaves painted in with concentrated liquid watercolor.
Last layers are pastel, and light linework with black pen. On holbein (very thin) mixed media paper.
