This is a poster design for an upcoming Children's Illustrator's conference Contest- The theme was "Many voices"
I wanted to do something humorous and a little unusual, and with a big hippo! Hippos, yes, are very ferocious... I once saw a documentary though once - about a hippo raised by human and who ate mostly sweet potatoes ... anyways  In an ideal world, all the animals sing together; and music turns into colors- and shapes, determined by the types of sounds. Gouache mixed with watercolor, copic marker, pen ink, and pencil. |
